JACKSONVILLE, FL--USC Aiken’s women’s soccer team fell to the University of North Florida, 5-1, tonight in Jacksonville, Fla. The conference loss drops the Lady Pacers to 2-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the PBC. The Lady Ospreys improve to 4-3-1 on the season and 2-0-0 in league play. UNF’s Shauna Kruger scored a pair of goals in the win.

Kruger sandwiched two penalty kick scores around Lena Mullaney’s unassisted goal to give North Florida a 3-0 lead at the break. Judith Claessens extended the lead to 4-0 with a goal almost 18 minutes into the second period.

Natasha DaCosta’s third goal of the season finally got the Lady Pacers on the board at the 67:37 mark. Amanda Faulknham contributed with her second assist of the season.

USCA was out shot by the Lady Ospreys 27-3. Christine Brewer recorded a game-high six shots for UNF.

The Lady Pacers continue with the second leg of a four-game road trip with a visit to Wingate University on Wednesday. The match in Wingate, N.C. is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
