be honored before the Pacers face off with the 10th ranked Braves.
The USC Aiken women’s team will enter the match with UNCP with a
3-10-0 record and an 0-6-0 Peach Belt Conference mark. The Lady Pacers
were beaten by second ranked Kennesaw State in their last match, but shutout
Shorter College, 4-0, before losing to the Lady Owls. UNC Pembroke takes
an 11-4-0 record into Thursday’s home match with Wingate University.
The Lady Braves are 3-3-0 in Peach Belt Play.
The Pacers (0-9-0, 0-5-0 PBC) will try to get their first win of the season
against the number 10 team in NCAA Division II. The Braves, picked to finish
last in the Peach Belt in the preseason coaches’ poll, are 13-1-0
and 4-1-0 in the PBC heading into tonight’s non-conference match
with Wingate University. Five of USC Aiken’s nine loses this season
have been by just one goal. The Pacers will try to turn their luck around
against a team they have beaten three times in the last five meetings between
the two schools.
