STREAK EXTENDED TO EIGHT WITH WIN OVER CONVERSE
SIX LADY PACERS IN DOUBLE FIGURES IN POINTS IN 3-1 VICTORY

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.--Six Lady Pacers had double figures in points led by senior Jenny Lloyd’s 25.0 as USC Aiken (9-1) defeated Converse College (4-3) 3-1 in non-conference volleyball action on Friday evening at the Carson-Newman Tournament. Game scores were 30-14, 28-30, 30-16, and 30-21. USCA improves to 5-1 all-time versus the All-Stars.

The victory marked the eighth straight for the Lady Pacers who continue to extend their school record best start, now at 9-1.

“We played well in every game for 25 points and then we would relax,” said USCA head coach Will Condon. “We played well as a whole except for a couple of runs.”

Lloyd rang up 18 kills, 16 digs, six service aces, and one block for a match-high 25.0 points while hitting .361. It was the 12th straight and 69th career double-digit kill match for the Lady Pacers’ captain.

Freshman Veronica Seidle hit .400 with 12 kills and 14 digs for 13.5 points. As a team, USCA hit an impressive .343 including .429 in game three.

Sophomore Laura Williams and freshman Missy Deardorff each added 11.5 points, combining for 17 kills to just four errors and 12 blocks. Freshman Mandy Gerolstein chipped in nine kills and two aces for 11.0 points.

Junior setter Rachel Dalitz hit .500 with seven kills, four service aces, seven digs, one block, and 49 assists for 11.5 points. Senior Jessica Lane tallied two service aces.

USC Aiken will take on Carson-Newman at 11:00 AM tomorrow and then square off against Lincoln Memorial at 1:30 PM. Carson-Newman is the only team to blemish the Lady Pacers’ record thus far this season.
