Maitland Leads Pacers at Southeast Regional

WINGATE, N.C. - Nicole Maitland finished a team-best 32nd and the University of South Carolina Aiken women's cross country team concluded the 6K NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Cross Country Championship in 19th place as a team.
Maitland (Chapin, S.C./Chapin) finished the event with a time of 25:28. The three-time All-Peach Belt Conference selection was one of two Pacers in the top 50 in the regional with Jani Linde (Columbia, S.C./Dublin Coffman) finishing in 45th with a time of 25:54.
The Pacers finished in 19th as a team in the 23 team field. USC Aiken accumulated a grand total of 439 points in Southeast Regional.
Five-time defending Peach Belt Conference champion Columbus State claimed top team honors at the regional with a team score of 69.
Lenoir-Rhyne's Kate Grieswich claimed individual honors, winning the event with a time of 22:35.
