Lukralle Garners Third Postseason Accolade
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Just moments after Flagler College
clinched their second-consecutive Peach Belt Conference Volleyball
Tournament crown with a 3-0 win over tournament host Armstrong
Atlantic State, conference officials released the 2010 PBC
All-Tournament team featuring University of South Carolina Aiken
libero Samantha Lukralle.
This is the third postseason accolade for Lukralle (Lindenhurst,
N.Y./Lindenhurst) who was tabbed to the PBC All-Academic team early
last week and was named the PBC Libero of the Year Friday night at
the annual PBC Volleyball Tournament banquet.
She ended USC Aiken’s tournament stretch corralling in a
team-high 31 digs in their two matches. She recorded an impressive
634 total digs in the 2010 campaign, shattering the record of 523
digs in a single season that she set as a freshman last year. She
also set a school record for most aces in a single match in USC
Aiken’s 3-0 victory over Coker College earlier in the season
as she delivered 11 aces over the three sets.
Joining Lukralle on the six-member All-Tournament team are two
players from the two-time tournament champions Flagler as well as
two players from Armstrong Atlantic and one player from the
University of Montevallo.
