Harris Named South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week

AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball player Kayla Harris was named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week on Dec. 5, 2011.

Harris concluded USC Aiken’s only game last week with a career-best 25 points in USC Aiken’s 92-68 victory over Limestone.

The sophomore forward was 9-for-15 from the floor in the game. She knocked down seven of her 10 free throw attempts in the game.

The Raleigh, N.C. native also had four rebounds and three assists. She plucked three of her four rebounds on the offensive glass.

On the year, Harris is leading the nationally-ranked Pacers with 15 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
