Andrade and Orlandini Tabbed to PBC Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team

AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis players Gregory Andrade and Bruno Orlandini were chosen to the 2011 Peach Belt Conference Men's Tennis All-Conference team on Saturday morning during a banquet at the site of the Peach Belt Conference Men's Tennis Championship.

Andrade (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Unigrade Valinhos) and Orlandini (Araraquara, SP/Brazil /Longwood) were selected to the PBC All-Conference second team in doubles. Saturday's honoring marked the second straight all-conference nod for Andrade in doubles as he and former partner Juan Xavier Ponce were tabbed to the 2010 PBC All-Conference first team in doubles. Andrade and Ponce were also All-America selections in 2010.

Presently ranked 16th nationally, Andrade and Orlandini were the Pacers' No. 1 tandem in 2011. They were 8-8 on the year with all their matches at No. 1 doubles. They were 4-5 in PBC matches.

The duo downed Augusta State's nationally 13th-ranked duo of Bernardo Fernandes and Henrique Boturao, 9-7, on March 29, 2011.

Andrade was also chosen as a second team All-PBC selection in singles.

Currently ranked 40th in the nation, Andrade played No. 1 singles all year for the 30th-ranked Pacers. He was 6-9 overall in 2011.

Andrade's biggest win of the year came on Feb. 11 when he bested then nationally 16th-ranked Jerome Leborgne of Georgia College 6-7, 6-4, 7-5 at the USC Aiken Tennis Complex.

Below is the PBC men's tennis All-Conference team as selected by the league's head coaches. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
