Lesko Named to Daktronics All-Region Team

2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II Southeast Region Men's Soccer Team
AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken senior defender John Lesko was named to the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II Southeast Region Men's Soccer Second Team.
The honor is the second postseason honor for Lesko, who was also chosen to the Peach Belt Conference All-Conference team. A preseason All-Peach Belt Conference selection and four-year starter, Lesko was chosen to the 2009 All-PBC second team as a defender.
Lesko finished his senior campaign with three goals and two assists from his central defensive position.
The 2009 team captain, Lesko ended his career as a two-time All-PBC player as he was named to the team at the conclusion of the 2008 season. He was also named to the PBC All-Tournament team in 2008.
Berin Boracic of Lees-McRae College was selected as the Southeast Region Player of the Year. Boracic has led the Bobcats to a 17-2-1 record and a berth in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament. The senior forward has scored 15 goals and tallied eight assists to post a total of 38 points to lead Lees-McRae to its third straight Conference Carolinas regular season title.
The Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Teams are voted on by the sports information directors of the Southeast Region; voting is powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM. The region is comprised of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt Conference, the South Atlantic Conference and North Greenville University.
