Nationally-Ranked Pacers in Fourth After First Day of Argonaut Invitational

Round Two Results

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The 25^th-ranked University of South Carolina Aiken golf team is in fourth place as a team after two rounds of play at the Argonaut Invitational at the 6,815-yard, par 72 Pensacola Country Club.

The tournament is being hosted by West Florida.

USC Aiken finished both rounds on Monday having carded a 294 as a team to sit in fourth at 588. The Pacers are just four strokes away from current team leader West Florida.

For the second straight week, USC Aiken freshman Hayden Letien (Sumter, S.C./Sumter) is leading the Pacer charge.

Letien, who finished in a tie for eighth at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate last week, was the leader in the clubhouse after round one after posting a four-under-par 68 in the first round. Letien carded a 74 in round two to sit third after two rounds at 142.

Two Pacers are in the top 15 individually after the first two rounds as Matt Atkins (Owensboro, Ky./Henderson State) is in a tie for 11^th at 146. Atkins carded a 75 in the first round before finishing with a one-under-par 71 in the second round.

West Florida's Ryan Black is the leader through the first two rounds of play at 140. Black carded a 70 in round one and two. Belmont Abbey's Adam Hedges is in second at 141 (71-70).

Currently fifth nationally, host West Florida is in first as a team through the first two rounds of action at 584 (286-298). Ninth-ranked Georgia College is in second at 585 (298-297). Belmont Abbey is in third at 586 (293-293).

Tomorrow's final round of the Argonaut Invitational will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The first Pacer is scheduled to tee off just before 9 a.m.
