AIKEN, S.C. – Chattanooga carded a cumulative team score of 855 to earn the overall team victory in the 13th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate at the historic par 70, 6,565-yard Palmetto Golf Club.
Chattanooga has now claimed the victory in the event in two of the last three years as they also won the tournament with an 850 in the 2008 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
The victory by Chattanooga means that since 2005 only host USC Aiken and Chattanooga have claimed team laurels in the event with the Pacers earning top team honors in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Chattanooga’s team total of 855 was seven better than second place Clemson. The Tigers carded a team total of 862 (288-283-291) to finish second. East Carolina concluded the 54-hole tournament in third place with a total team tally of 868 (295-284-289).

Karlsson was the defending individual champion in the event.
USC Aiken’s Grant Carnie was the top Pacer finisher. Carnie ended the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in a tie for 12th with a three-day total of 215 (71-72-72).
