Pacers in 14th Place Through Two Rounds of Linger Longer Invitational
GREENSBORO, Ga. – The
20th-ranked USC Aiken golf team concluded the second round of the
2010 Linger Longer Invitational at the Par 72, 7005-yard Landing
Golf Course at Reynolds Plantation in 14th place.
The Pacers carded a second round team score of 312 to finish the
first two rounds of play with an aggregate team tally of 623.
USC Aiken has been led in the first two rounds of action by Kevin
Grady (Woodbine, Md./Century), who is in a tie with six others for
29th place with a two-round score of 151. Grady
concluded the first round with 76, but he improved by one stroke in
the second round with a 75.
Tied for first after day one, NCAA Division I second-ranked Oklahoma State is in sole possession of first place after two rounds with a team score of 579 (293-286). Alabama is five strokes behind in second place at 584 (294-290).
Alabama’s Bud Cauley
still holds the individual lead through two rounds. Cauley posted a
first round score of eight-under-par 64, but he dipped to a 73 in
the second round. His two-round tally of 137 leaves him three
strokes ahead of Oklahoma State’s Sean Einhaus, who through
two rounds owns a score of 140 (70-70).
The third and final round of the tournament is slated to begin at 8
a.m. on Sunday, March 28. The first Pacer is scheduled to tee off
at 8:48 a.m.
