Seilern Named to Capital One Academic NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball District Three First-Team

AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball student-athlete Jesse Seilern was recently selected to the Capital One Academic NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball District Three First-Team.

The Capital One Academic All-America program is presented by CoSIDA.

As a First-Team member, Seilern is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration. The Capital One Academic All-America Team will be selected later this month.

A sophomore out of Innsbruck, Austria, Seilern has stared all 19 games for the Pacers in the 2011-12 season. He is averaging 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.

Seilern has scored in double figures four times for the Pacers this season, including scoring a season-high 12 points in USC Aiken’s win over Augusta State on Jan. 16, 2012.

In the classroom, Seilern owns a 3.534 grade point average as a Business Administration major.
