Brown Named South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week
AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men’s
basketball player Alvin Brown was selected as the South Carolina
Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of
the Week on Feb. 7, 2011.
Brown is now a three-time winner of the award (Jan. 1, Jan. 23 and
Feb. 7).
Brown
(Fort Washington, Md./James Madison) was the top performer for the
Pacers in USC Aiken’s dominating 74-62 victory over No. 3
Augusta State at the Convocation Center on Feb. 2, 2011.
In the contest, Brown almost acquired his second straight home triple-double as he finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds to go along with his seven blocks. He obtained half of his 10 boards on the offensive glass.
Brown was 8 of 11 from the floor in the win over Augusta State.
Brown is currently in the top 10 in NCAA Division II in blocks. He presently has 61 in the 2010-11 season.
USC Aiken as a team is presently the NCAA Division II leader in blocks.
