USC Aiken Tabbed Ninth in Latest Region Tally

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball team is ninth in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Region men’s basketball rankings.

The Pacers, who were sixth last week, are one of seven Peach Belt Conference teams in the current region poll. Augusta State is the highest ranked PBC squad, coming in at No. 2 in the latest region tally. The Jaguars are followed by Georgia Southwestern in third. The final five teams in the region poll are PBC teams with Clayton State (sixth), Montevallo (seventh), Georgia College (eighth) and Armstrong Atlantic State (10th) joining the Pacers in the latest poll.

USC Aiken commences this week owning a 13-9 overall record. The Pacers are 7-8 in league play.

The Pacer men are just hours away from a PBC East Division showdown with UNC Pembroke at approximately 7:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday). The game is the second game of a PBC men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader as the nationally 15th-ranked Pacer women will first take on the UNC Pembroke women at 5:30 p.m.
