Miller Named PBC Freshman of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – For the second consecutive week a USC Aiken baseball freshman was chosen as the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week as Josh Miller was honored with the award on Monday, May 3, 2010.
 
USC Aiken’s JJ Loker (Elkton, Va./Spotswood) was tabbed as the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week on April 26, 2010.

A freshman from Chapin, S.C., Miller hit a team-best .556 in USC Aiken’s two games last week. He was 5-for-9 from the dish in total.

The Chapin High School product played two different positions for the Pacers last week, starting USC Aiken’s first game against Catawba on Friday, April 30 at catcher. He started the Pacers’ second game against Catawba on Saturday, May 1 in left field.

In USC Aiken’s narrow game one loss to Catawba last Friday, Miller was a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs scored. He had six putouts from his position at catcher. Miller was 1-for-5 with one run scored in USC Aiken’s loss to Catawba on Saturday.
