Thomas Unveils Unique Fall Baseball Schedule

AIKEN, S.C. - USC Aiken head baseball coach Kenny Thomas announced recently the plans for a unique fall baseball schedule.

"This fall we're trying to get a little more unique with our schedule," noted Thomas. "We're trying to make everything duplicate our regular season games so our inter-squad games will be very competitive. We're dividing the teams at the beginning of the fall season, splitting up the coaches, and going at it for 13 games."

The atmosphere for these fall games will be just like real games with music scheduled to be played between innings and the scoreboard running in the contests. The games will also feature umpires.

The games will be free and open to the public.

The fall season officially gets underway with a Major League Baseball scout day on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The day will feature the Pacers showing their skills to scouts from a variety of teams in Major League Baseball. Things are scheduled to commence at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
