LAURINBURG, N.C.--St. Andrews’ Krisztian
Mikoczi’s penalty kick goal in the 61st minute lifted the Knights
(2-2-0) to a 1-0 victory over USC Aiken (1-3-1) in men’s non-conference
soccer on Tuesday evening at Knights Field. The loss marked the second
defeat for the Pacers in the last 72 hours by a 1-0 margin.
The win was the first ever for the Knights over USCA in eight all-time meetings.
The Pacers were previously 4-0-3 after a win last year.
St. Andrews dominated the scoring chances with a 19-6 margin. A foul inside the
Pacers’ box was whistled on USCA giving Mikoczi a free kick. His attempt
found the bottom left corner of the goal, making it 1-0.

saves. Robert Eanes notched the shutout in net for the Knights stopping two shots.
Emmanuel Maduka and Adam Lambert were the only Pacers to get a shot on goal.
The Pacers return home on Thursday, September 8 to host Mount Olive College at
7:00 PM.
