USCA MEN'S SOCCER HELD SCORELESS IN OPENER
MONTEVALLO EDGES PACERS 1-0

MONTEVALLO, AL--USC Aiken fell to the University of Montevallo, 1-0, yesterday (Wednesday) in non-conference men’s soccer action in Montevallo, Ala. Estaban Suarez de Lima’s goal almost 21 minutes into the game proved to be the game winner. USCA drops to 0-1 on the season while the Falcons improve to 1-0-1 overall.

Peter Calabrese (Spring Hill, Fla.) played the entire game in goal for the Pacers. In 90 minutes of work the senior had two saves and allowed one goal. Goalkeeper Raven Keet was just a little better for the Falcons with two saves and a shutout.

Montevallo held a 12-11 advantage in shots. Kevon Aberdeen (Morvant, Trinidad) led USC Aiken with three shots.

The Pacers will travel to Southern Wesleyan on Sept. 13 for a 7:00 p.m., match.
