MEN'S BASKETBALL CONTEST SWITCHED TO THURSDAY, NOV. 10

AIKEN, S.C.--USC Aiken men’s basketball fans that have been eagerly awaiting the tip-off to the 2005-06 season and the Pacers’ big game at South Carolina will not have to wait quite as long. University officials at both schools announced this week that the game has been moved to Thursday, November 10 at 7:30 PM at the Colonial Center in Columbia, S.C.

The exhibition contest was originally scheduled for Saturday, November 12, but due to the Gamecocks’ home football showdown with SEC rival Florida, the move was made.

In a grueling preseason schedule, 24 hours after their match-up with South Carolina, the Pacers will travel to Atlanta, Ga. for an exhibition game with Georgia State, a Division I member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), on Friday, November 11 at 7:00 PM.

The Pacers, under new head coach Vince Alexander, will open the season for real on Tuesday, November 15 when USCA hosts Catawba at 7:30 PM.
