AIKEN, S.C.--New USC Aiken head men’s
basketball coach Vince Alexander announced the addition of two more student-athletes
to his 2005-06 Pacer roster. Tiago DePaula and Scotti Frater enter USCA
as juniors and are the newest members of Alexander’s first recruiting
class.
“We are very excited to add these two young men,” said Alexander. “I
believe they come in as quality people and talented student-athletes. Both will
definitely give us much needed size.”
DePaula is a 6-9 junior forward. He comes to USCA after two seasons at Highland
Community College in Freeport, Ill. The Goiania, Brazil native averaged 8.0 points
and 4.0 rebounds per game last season for the Cougars.
Frater is a 6-8 junior center. The Poughkeepsie, N.Y. native averaged 9.0 points,
10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game last season in helping the State University
of New York (SUNY) Cobleskill to a 30-6 record and a spot in the 2005 NJCAA Elite
Eight. Frater was also selected to the NJCAA Region III All-Tournament team.
