AIKEN, SC--University
of South Carolina Aiken’s Men’s Basketball Head Coach Mike
Roberts has announced the addition Cameron Conover to the 2003-04 team.
Conover, a six-foot guard from Corona Del Mar, Calif., will be a junior

Conover played two seasons at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt. He averaged
four points, four assists and two steals per game as a freshman in 1998-99.
That squad entered the season ranked number four in the nation among junior
colleges. The team finished with 22 wins and made it to the region championship
game.
His sophomore year, 2000-01, Conover scored an average of five points per
game and dished out four assists per contest. He shot 85 percent from the
free throw line and accumulated a 4.1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Champlain
won 22 games that season as well, including the region championship. Conover
and his teammates fell to the eventual national runner-up in the district
championship.
The Pacers’ season begins on November 22, when they travel to Jefferson
City, Tenn., to take on Carson-Newman College.
