CLINTON, SC--USC Aiken’s women’s
cross country team finished fourth today at the Fourth Annual Presbyterian
College Invitational in Clinton, S.C. Ashley Reedy (Jefferson, Md.) placed
sixth and set a new USC Aiken record by finishing in a time of 21:24.
The fourth place finish is the best this season for the Lady Pacers.
Five of USCA’s six runners posted their top times of the season.
Kristyn Holley (Belvedere, S.C.) crossed the line in eighth place with a personal
best 21:31. Veronica Derico (Aiken, S.C.) placed 12th and Jen Mascarin (Komoka,
Ontario) finished 26th, with each runner posting her best time of the season.
Presbyterian College won the event with 45 points. USC Aiken earned 91 points,
falling four points behind third place North Geenville College. Presbyterian’s
Tanith Forrester won the individual title, finishing in a time of 20:10.69.
The Lady Pacers will be in action again on Oct. 11 when they travel to Anderson,
S.C., for the Anderson College Invitational. The race begins at 10:00 a.m.
