About Our Program

The USC Aiken Cheerleaders are a 16-member squad whose main function is to promote university spirit and provide entertainment at all home basketball games, university events, and community events. We co-host a summer spirit camp, judge local tryouts and competitions, and also attend a summer camp sponsored by the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA).   We are a non-competitive program.

The cheerleaders are under the direction of Coach Allison Kotowski Comer, who is in her second year with the program.  Allison took over the helm from her prior coach and cousin, Clairissa Smith Wells.  Allison is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.  While at USC, she was a member of the Coquettes Dance Team.  She also spent two years at USC Aiken where she was member of the USCA Dance Team for two years.
