USC Aiken Cheerleader Coach:  Allison Kotowski Comer

USC Aiken named Allison Kotowski Comer Cheer Coach for the University of South Carolina Aiken in April 2006.  She joins the coaching staff of Angie Osbon and Janet Joy, who have served as advisors for the program since the early 1990s.

Allison took over the helm from her prior coach and cousin, Clairissa Smith Wells.  She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.  While at USC for two years, Allison was a member of the Coquettes Dance Team.  She also spent two years at USC Aiken where she was member of the USCA Dance Team.  She has all-star cheerleader coaching experience and also spent the majority of her youth involved in cheerleading from elementary to the high school level.  She has also earned her safety certification by the American Association of Cheerleader Coaches and Advisors.

Her professional experience includes her current employment with Lincare as a Sales Representative and previous employment with the Wild Turkey Federation as a Public Relations Specialist and as a Weather Anchor and News Reporter for WRDW.  She has also competed in the Miss South Carolina Pageant on two occasions:  in 2002 as Miss Greater Kershaw and in 2003 as Miss Myrtle Beach.  In addition, she was also Miss Aiken International in 2005 and currently owns a pageant preparation business.

Allison and her husband, Matt, reside in Aiken.
