AIKEN, S.C.--Jill Wosmek has been named
USC Aiken’s Assistant Athletic Trainer, the school announced on
Wednesday. Wosmek recently completed her graduate studies at the University
of Minnesota and assumed her new duties at USCA last week.
“I am looking forward to expanding my professional experiences
at USC Aiken,” said
Wosmek. “I have been surrounded by intercollegiate athletics for the last
six years and look forward to expanding on my experiences.”
Wosmek graduated this past May with her Master’s of Arts in Kinesiology
with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. As a graduate assistant, Wosmek worked
primarily with the Gophers’ women’s rowing, women’s tennis,
and men’s tennis teams as well as supervising athletic medicine interns.
A 2003 graduate of Minnesota State Mankato, an NCAA Division II school, Wosmek
earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training while minoring
in Corporate and Community Fitness and Wellness.
“Jill brings a unique professional demeanor considering she just graduated.
She is an athletic trainer beyond her years,” said Brandon Aiken, USCA
Head Athletic Trainer. “Jill is very organized and mature and brings great
skills with her.”
Wosmek, a native of Dassel, Minn., is single and resides in Aiken.
USC Aiken is a proud member of the NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference
and is the home of the defending back-to-back NCAA Division II Men’s Golf
National Champions.
