AIKEN, SC--Michelle Royko has been named
USC Aiken’s Assistant Athletic Trainer, the school announced on
Thursday. Royko recently completed her graduate studies at the University
of Tennessee Chattanooga and will assume her new duties at USCA immediately.
“I am so excited about the opportunity to work here at USC
Aiken,” said
Royko. “This is a great starting position for me in my career. I enjoy
working in the college setting and am excited to get started.”
Royko graduated with her Master’s of Science in Health and Human Performance
this past May from UT-Chattanooga. While in the Moccasin athletic training program,
Royko worked with the football, volleyball, and women’s basketball programs
as well as assisting with long-term rehabilitation.

in May 2002.
“Michelle is going to be a great asset to the athletic department and USC
Aiken. She has the skills, motivation, and personality to make an immediate impact
on the athletic training department,” said Brandon Aiken, USCA Head Athletic
Trainer. “With the addition of Michelle, we will be able to improve the
overall student-athlete care and focus on areas that we were previously unable
to address. Michelle is someone who really cares about a student-athlete’s
safety and welfare and I am very excited to having her as a colleague.”
