Prior to coming on board at USCA, Strief served as an intern in the Sports Information Departments at Indiana University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). At Indiana, his responsibilities included working as the primary contact for women's field hockey and assisting with other fall semester Hoosier sports. While at UNLV, Strief served as the primary contact for men's and women's soccer as well as softball. He also assisted with the Running Rebels football and basketball programs.
Strief earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree in journalism, mass communication, and radio/television from Grand View College in Des Moines, Iowa in May 2000. While in college, Strief worked in the Grand View Sports Information Department as well as completing internships with WHO-TV and KGGO radio in Des Moines.
"I think that the internship at USC Aiken is a great opportunity to round out my media relations training with Division II experience," said Strief. "I'm certainly looking forward to meeting the staff, student-athletes, media, and fans at Aiken. I am anxious to start working with them in the promotion of Pacer Athletics."
At USCA, Strief will serve as the primary contact for softball and men's and women's tennis. He will also eventually take over men's basketball and will assist with the other sports.
"We are excited to welcome Kit to the Sports Information Office at USCA," said Fields, in his third year as SID. "He brings a wealth of experience and will be looked to to step in and immediately impact the output of the department."
