McGillivray Joins USCA Sports Information Staff

Eva McGillivrayAIKEN, SC--Eva McGillivray will join the University of South Carolina Aiken Athletic Department for the 2001-02 year, announced Brad Fields, Sports Information Director, on Wednesday morning.  McGillivray will serve as intern while functioning as the Assistant Sports Information Director.

McGillivray earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and mass media from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) in May 2001.  UWSP is a member of the NCAA Division III and holds memberships in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).

During her four years at UWSP, McGillivray worked most closely with the wrestling program.  She was in charge of game-day operations as well as reporting of post-game results and production of the media guide.  In addition, McGillivray interned with WBAY-TV in Green Bay, WI in the summer of 1999.

"We are excited to bring on Eva to our department," said Fields, in his third year as SID at USC Aiken.  "She brings a good mix of experience and enthusiasm to the Sports Information Department at USCA."

USC Aiken is a member of the NCAA Division II and a charter member of the Peach Belt Conference.  The Pacers and Lady Pacers field 11 intercollegiate sports.
